Grumbling or Questioning

Twisted generation. ✔ Check. But what about blameless and innocent, without blemish, on my part? At times my shining light needs a new bulb or energy source. Am I doing Paul proud, as he asks? I confess I can grumble & question with the best of them! I'm still working out my salvation, after all. Before this verse, Paul said it is God who works in me 'to will and to act in order to fulfill his good purpose' even while I'm working it out. It goes back to that old saying, "Under construction; God isn't finished with me yet."

That said, I can see how vital it is from this passage to hold my tongue even more than I already do, especially when disgruntled, apprehensive, frustrated or disquieted. These are the times I can grumble and question in haste. Just ask my dear husband; we share an office and have a squirrely and inconsistent printer that loves to jam on thicker paper, for example. That is when I need to hold fast to the word of life! (I'm going to print this now. Wish me the best.)
