Wisdom Accepts Seasons
We complain there is little justice in the world. We worry over evil that occupies our minds and unsettles our faith. We cry out for righteousness and truth to be brought to our courts, our schools and our land. We ask for help in times of family trouble. And we wait.
As the meaning-making machines we can be, we wrestle with why something has happened that is hurtful or confusing. But I bring to you today the notion of wisdom – how embracing the promise that God is in control reminds us He is working out His plan for mankind. For it is not necessary that we understand His ways. We cannot. But we can remain faithful, no matter the time or season we are in. What does that kind of faithfulness call us to do and become?
